About Jacki Hollywood Brown

Jacki Hollywood Brown is the woman behind J-organize. For as long as she can remember, she’s loved efficiency. (As a child she organized her Barbie house.) In 2004 she became a member of Professional Organizers in Canada (POC), and turned her life-long love of organization into a career. Today she also serves as POC’s Director of Internal Communications, managing the website and publishing the bi-monthly newsletter.

She gets a thrill out of helping individuals and families define the type of life they want and how they want their homes to look and function. Then working together as a team, she puts the process in place to achieve sustainable, comfortable organization.

Her role as a military wife and busy mom has helped build additional timesaving organizational skills. Having lived in four different provinces with frequent moves (one move with only a week’s notice) has further developed Jacki’s talents as a pro packer, expert sorter and creator of ingenious filing systems. It’s also taught her that a sense of humour and a multi-purpose screwdriver are invaluable.

Jacki holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Food Sciences from the University of Guelph in Ontario. Prior to founding her own company, she worked in a library, a pharmacy and two research centres, where she methodically grouped chemicals by experiments. As a member of several research teams, she planned for efficient use of time and resources while assuring everyone’s needs were met and team goals were achieved. Jacki is fluently bilingual in English and French.
